Awards

Dashew Center Outstanding Awards

Each year we have an End of the Year Graduation Banquet to honor and recognize all international students who are either graduating or going back to their home country. Many international students who come to UCLA for only a quarter or a year don’t have the option of being recognized at the general UCLA graduation, so the Dashew Center created this event so that their time at UCLA can be honored! It is an amazing night when all of our students get together to celebrate the memories they have created during their time at UCLA and be recognized for all of their accomplishments.

In addition, the Dashew Center for International Students and Scholars (DCISS) has made it a tradition to honor outstanding students and volunteers who have played an important role in the success of Dashew Center Programming as well as in the overall success of our center. Each year at our International Graduation we will honor three different individuals in the following areas:

Outstanding DCISS International Student Award
Outstanding DCISS Domestic Student Award
Outstanding DCISS Volunteer Award

We encourage nominations to be submitted by anyone (students, staff, faculty, community) if you feel there is someone one who stands out in a particular category. Students and volunteers can also nominate themselves for one of the awards. Please see the criteria for each award below and submit a nomination if you think you or someone in particular deserves to be recognized for your/their contributions over the last year. The deadline to submit a DCISS Outstanding Award is Friday, May 4th at 4 PM. Download Application
