Academic Support Services

  • MYUCLA
    MyUCLA provides students with a class planner, assists with course selection, and connects students with campus and community resources.

  • UCLA WRITING PROGRAMS
    The UCLA Writing Programs provides resources to undergraduate students to assist them with writing assignments and develop their writing skills.

  • OFFICE OF THE DEAN OF STUDENTS
    Office of the Dean of Students (DOS) provides resources to assist students with understanding the UCLA student conduct code to enhance the UCLA student experience.

  • UCLA LIBRARY
    The UCLA Library provides curricular support for UCLA students, faculty and staff.

    • YOUNG RESEARCH LIBRARY
      Young Research Library provides research-level collections and services in the humanities, social sciences, education, public affairs, government information and maps primarily designed to support graduate students and faculty.

    • POWELL LIBRARY
      Powell Library provides curricular support and services for undergraduate students, such as a 24-hour computer lab and study space.
  • CENTER FOR COMMUNITY LEARNING
    Center for Community Learning promotes student involvement in community activities through internships and service learning programs and assists students with internship course enrollment.

  • COLLEGE ACADEMIC COUNSELING (CAC)
    CAC provides academic advising and counseling services for undergraduate students of the College of Letters and Science.

  • GRADUATE STUDENT RESOURCE CENTER (GSRC)
    The Graduate Student Resource Center (GSRC) is a resource, referral and information center for graduate students, offering programs and workshops on a variety of topics, drop-in advice and assistance, meeting and study space and the opportunity for social interaction.

    • GRADUATE WRITING CENTER
      The Graduate Writing Center offers friendly, experienced and FREE writing consultation appointments to all registered UCLA graduate and professional school students.
  • OFFICE OF INSTRUCTIONAL DEVELOPMENT (OID)
    The UCLA OID supports the instructional mission of the University and enhances teaching and learning opportunities through emerging instructional methodologies and technologies.

    • TEST OF ORAL PROFICIENCY (TOP)
      The TOP is an exam for international graduate students who plan to work as teaching assistants (TA).

    • TEACHING ASSISTANT TRAINING PROGRAM (TATP)
      TATP assists TAs at UCLA with improving their teaching and advancing their professional development.
  • COLLEGE ACADEMIC COUNSELING (CAC)
    CAC provides academic advising and counseling services for undergraduate students of the College of Letters and Science.

  • UCLA ENGINEERING OFFICE OF ACADEMIC AND STUDENT AFFAIRS (OASA)
    UCLA Engineering OASA provides academic advising and counseling services for undergraduate engineering students.

  • UCLA REGISTRAR’S OFFICE
    Registrar’s Office is responsible for maintaining student records, issuing reports of grades and distributing official publications such as the quarterly Schedule of Classes, Academic Calendar, fee information, and transcript requests

Health and Wellness Services

  • ASHE STUDENT HEALTH & WELLNESS CENTER
    The Ashe Center is an accredited, on-campus health facility resigned specifically to meet the needs of all current registered UCLA students with SHIP insurance and provide convenient, accessible and high-quality health care.

  • COUNSELING AND PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES (CAPS)
    Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides a safe and confidential place to discuss concerns or problems interfering with personal growth and academic achievement. CAPS also offers a wide range of programs to promote mental health, emotional resilience and wellness.

  • UCLA CONSULTATION & RESPONSE TEAM
    The UCLA Consultation & Response Team is composed of representatives from key campus departments and works to identify students in crisis, direct them to campus and community resources and address their needs.

  • UCLA RECREATION
    UCLA Recreation provides high-quality recreational activities and services to the UCLA community and manages the 14 of the University's recreational and athletic facilities.

    • JOHN WOODEN RECREATION CENTER
      The John Wooden Recreation Center is the main campus gym. The Wooden Center has offers recreational classes, fitness classes, and services for students, staff and faculty to engage in fitness and wellness activities.

    • SUNSET CANYON RECREATION CENTER
      The Sunset Canyon Center is a park-like recreational facility on-campus with swimming pools, tennis courts, various meeting rooms, and an outdoors fitness and challenge course.
  • UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA POLICE DEPARTMENT (UCLA PD)
    UCLA PD provides quality public safety services and law enforcement to the University community.

    • EVENING VAN SERVICE
      Evening Van Service provides a safe means of transportation around the campus during the evening hours.

Student Support Services

  • THE BRUIN RESOURCE CENTER (BRC)
    The Bruin Resource Center (BRC) provides specialized services for transfer, AB 540 and parenting students by providing information, referrals and support to navigate the university and ease their transition to life at UCLA. The BRC offers a wide range of academic courses, programs and volunteer opportunities to help students develop practical life skills to succeed academically.
  • STUDENT LEGAL SERVICES
    Student Legal Services provides confidential legal counseling and assistance for a wide range of legal issues to all registered and enrolled UCLA students.

  • OFFICE OF OMBUDS SERVICES
    The Office of Ombuds Services is an independent, neutral and confidential resource working to assist members of the UCLA community with resolving conflicts, disputes, complaints and ensure fair and equal treatment.

  • UCLA OFFICE OF RESIDENTIAL LIFE (ORL)
    UCLA ORL assists with creating a safe and supportive community for on-campus residents to have academic success and personal growth.
  • UCLA CAREER CENTER
    UCLA Career Center offers a variety of services and resources to help UCLA students, UC graduates and employers reach their professional and career goals.

  • THE LESBIAN GAY BISEXUAL TRANSGENDER (LGBT) CAMPUS RESOURCE CENTER
    The LGBT Campus Resource Center provides an array of education, information and advocacy services and works to create and maintain an open, safe and inclusive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning students and the UCLA community.

  • OFFICE FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES
    The Office for Students with Disabilities provides services designed to meet the unique educational needs of regularly enrolled students with documented permanent and temporary disabilities.

  • COMMUNITY PROGRAM OFFICE (CPO)
    The CPO offers programs and services for underserved communities and communities of color to promote higher education and community development

    • STUDENT RETENTION CENTER (SRC)
      The SRC is a student-initiated project designed to assist undergraduate students with academic difficulties and cultural & social transitions.

    • STUDENT-INITIATED ACCESS CENTER (SIAC)
      The SIAC is a student-initiated project created in response to the passage of Proposition 209 to provide an alternative to traditional university outreach efforts to underserved communities
  • CENTER FOR STUDENT PROGRAMMING
    Center for Student Programming facilitates a comprehensive range of student activities and maintains a database of all student organizations on-campus.

  • ASSOCIATED STUDENTS UCLA (ASUCLA)
    The Associated Students UCLA (ASUCLA) operates and maintains the UCLA student union, bookstores, restaurants, coffee shops, and an array of student support services.

    • ACKERMAN STUDENT UNION
      The Ackerman Student Union is UCLA’s student union and home to the UCLA Bookstore, study space, an array of dining options, postal service, support programs, and event services.

    • COURT OF SCIENCES STUDENT CENTER
      The Court of Sciences Student Center located in south campus provides an array of dining options and study space in a modern eco-friendly environment.
